The event organised by the Automobile Club d’Italia with the support of the Regione Sardegna returns to the italian island from 1-4 October as the final European round and the penultimate event of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship season. Alghero is preparing an unprecedented welcome with an extremely spectacular route featuring 17 special stages and more than 300 competitive kilometres.

Alghero (SS), June 1st 2026 – Everything is set for Rally Italia Sardegna 2026, which in its 23rd edition will feature several new elements, the return of some iconic stages from the past, and the traditional three-leg format. Organised by the Automobile Club d’Italia in partnership with Regione Sardegna, the event returns to Alghero and will take place from 1-4 October 2026, exactly on the same dates as its first edition in 2004.

Rally Italia Sardegna 2026 will once again feature a compact route, almost entirely concentrated in the Monte Acuto, Anglona and Nurra areas, with only a marginal involvement of Gallura. This confirms the decision adopted over the last nine editions to keep the entire event in the northern part of the island. Four months before the start, the publication of Rally Guide 1 has revealed the structure of the route and the special stages that will make up the event. The Italian round is the 13th and penultimate round of the FIA World Rally Championship and is also valid for the WRC2 and WRC3 championships. A total of 17 special stages are scheduled across three legs, covering 309.36 competitive kilometres, all on gravel. As previously announced, Alghero returns as the host city, with the service park once again located along the city's seafront promenade.

THE ROUTE. The 23rd Rally Italia Sardegna features a compact route with several interesting additions, as the event will mainly take place across Monte Acuto, Anglona and Nurra. The return of Tergu and Argentiera is among the highlights, alongside the introduction of the brand-new Solorché special stage in the Pattada area.

The action will begin on Thursday 1 October at 09:01 with the shakedown, whose location will be announced at a later stage. In the afternoon, the rally will officially start with the opening Ittiri Arena Show stage (2.08 km), scheduled for 16:05.

Friday 2 October will feature the opening leg, running through Gallura and Monte Acuto. Competitors will tackle 120.90 competitive kilometres across six special stages, with two passes each through Tula-Erula (18.14 km), Su Filigosu-Lerno (19.56 km) and Monti di Alà-Lerno (22.75 km). A midday service is scheduled in Alghero.

Saturday 3 October will host the second leg, entirely based in the Monte Acuto area and covering 124.76 competitive kilometres. The day will consist of six stages, with two runs each over Lerno-Monti di Alà (24.42 km), Coiluna-Loelle (24.83 km) and the new Solorché stage (13.13 km) near Pattada. The first two are classic Rally Italia Sardegna stages, although they will include some modifications compared to previous editions. As on Friday, a midday service will take place in Alghero.

The final leg on Sunday 4 October will cover 61.62 competitive kilometres across four special stages. Crews will tackle two passes each over the classic Osilo-Tergu stage (23.71 km), known for its highly abrasive surface, and Sassari-Argentiera (7.10 km), which will serve as the Power Stage. This stage has often proved decisive in the outcome of the rally thanks to its spectacular setting overlooking the Sardinian coastline. The finish podium ceremony is scheduled in Alghero at 17:00.

INITIATIVES. RIS Experience and RIS Executive will once again be available for companies and spectators wishing to enjoy premium viewing opportunities. Dedicated hospitality areas and exclusive spectator zones will be offered on selected special stages.

In addition, thanks to the renewal of the agreement with Grimaldi Lines, competitors and fans will once again benefit from special travel offers, including a 30% discount on ferry services to Olbia and Porto Torres.

Giovedì 5 giugno entra nel vivo la sesta tappa del FIA World Rally Championship 2025 che riporta l’azione sugli sterrati sardi per ventiduesima volta. Quattro campioni del mondo al via, 68 concorrenti, 16 prove speciali e un grandioso finale davanti all’Isola di Tavolara.

Olbia, 4 giugno 2025 – Mancano solo poche ore e il Rally Italia Sardegna 2025 sarà realtà. L’evento organizzato dall’Automobile Club d’Italia con la collaborazione della Regione Sardegna sta per riportare lo spettacolo del FIA World Rally Championship sugli sterrati affascinanti dell’Isola dei Quattro Mori che per i prossimi quattro giorni regaleranno sfide intense. 68 iscritti, 29 nazionalità rappresentate, 16 prove speciali, oltre 320 chilometri cronometrati.

Il programma sportivo si preannuncia molto interessante con un percorso completo che introduce prove nuove e ripropone classici e vecchie speciali e sarà arricchito da un cartellone di eventi collaterali che, focalizzato su Olbia, colorerà la città ospitante di un corollario di momenti da vivere per un coinvolgimento totale aperto a tutti: appassionati, curiosi, fans e visitatori.

I motori si accenderanno domani, giovedì 5 giugno dalle 13:00, con lo shakedown sulla spettacolare prova di Cabu Abbas a due passi dal centro di Olbia. Domani sera dalle 19:20 la sessione autografi con i protagonisti sul palco principale del parco assistenza all’Isola Bianca dove, dalle 20:00, andrà in scena la cerimonia ufficiale di presentazione con tutti gli equipaggi e la madrina dell’evento, Federica Pellegrini. A chiudere la serata, dalle 22:00 il DJ Set con Francesco Cadente di RDS Radio Dimensione Suono.

Venerdì 6 giugno la prima tappa. Le prove speciali saranno sei, tre da ripetere per due volte. Aprirà “Arzachena”, prova speciale molto veloce che nel passato è stata protagonista della tappa finale. Seguirà la nuova “Telti - Calangianus - Berchidda” prova affascinante e tecnica disegnata specificatamente per questa edizione e, per questo motivo, difficile da interpretare. Terzo crono quello di “Sa Conchedda” una speciale che includerà anche la famosa Alà dei Sardi Arena studiata appositamente per il pubblico e che, dall’alto dei suoi 27,95 chilometri, sarà la più lunga della gara.

Nel pomeriggio, alle 17:00, la premiazione dei campioni sardi 2024 all’interno della Conference Room di Casa ACI-Sardegna in parco assistenza, mentre dalle 18:15 sul main stage prima un DJ Set con Rino de Niro e Claudio Guerrini e poi dalle 21:30 il meet the crew con i piloti protagonisti della giornata. Alle 22:00 l’atteso concerto dei The Kolors, ad accesso gratuito, e il DJ Set di RDS che faranno ballare Olbia per tutta la notte.

Seconda giornata sabato 7 giugno, con un format molto simile a quello del venerdì ma con tre prove speciali di grande tradizione al Rally Italia Sardegna. Aprirà “Coiluna-Loelle” con il suo popolare tratto finale alla Loelle Arena, il passaggio velocissimo nel sughereto e la stretta inversione al Nuraghe Loelle. Seguirà “Lerno-Su Filigosu”, prova che solo nel nome rappresenta l’essenza di questa competizione e includerà il celebre salto di Micky’s Jump, subito nelle fasi iniziali della speciale. Chiusura del giro con “Tula-Erula” un’altra speciale dall’importante tradizione che quest’anno includerà anche una parte totalmente inedita dopo la famosa inversione di Sa Mela.

Al parco assistenza, dalle 18:00, ancora festa con il DJ Set di RDS Radio Dimensione Suono che inizierà alle 18:00, si fermerà alle 20:15 per il Meet the Crew e le interviste con i piloti e riprenderà dalle 21:30.

Domenica la giornata finale con due speciali molto diverse tra loro. “San Giacomo-Plebi” torna a disputarsi dopo tante edizioni di assenza dall'itinerario, con i suoi saliscendi e la spettacolare discesa. A completare il programma sarà la nuova Power Stage a “Porto San Paolo”, un tratto disegnato appositamente per il Rally Italia Sardegna 2025 che nell’ultima parte avrà come sfondo la scenografica e spettacolare Isola di Tavolara. L’arrivo, nuovamente sul Main Stage del parco assistenza, dalle 16:00.

Non mancherà la centralità delle attività legate al rispetto ed alla sostenibilità ambientale. L’iniziativa più importante è in programma venerdì 6 alle 16:00 quando verranno piantumate delle nuove essenze arboree in un tratto della pista ciclabile di Olbia. Questo momento, realizzato in collaborazione con FORESTAS, il Consorzio Industriale Provinciale Nord Est Sardegna – Gallura (CIPNES) e con l’Automobile Club Sassari, rappresenta un gesto concreto per il territorio e un messaggio forte di impegno ambientale legato al rally mondiale. Un continuum che ha garantito all’evento già da alcune edizione le tre stelle nell’ambito del FIA Environmental Programme.

Per garantire il miglior accesso possibile agli spettatori, visitatori ed appassionati, è stato predisposto anche un sistema di navette gratuite che collegherà l’area parcheggio di Via Libia (“Olbia Arena”) con il Molo 1 bis – Isola Bianca, in entrambe le direzioni, per tutta la durata degli eventi principali: giovedì dalle 16:00 alle 22:30, venerdì dalle 16:00 alle 00:30, sabato dalle 16:00 alle 23:00 e domenica dalle 11:30 alle 18:30.

Olbia, June 1st 2025 – Just days remain before Rally Italia Sardegna, the event organised by the Automobile Club d’Italia with the support of the Region of Sardinia, which is set to welcome thousands of fans and professionals to Olbia as the WRC circus arrives.

Olbia will be the beating heart of the rally, hosting the service park, rally HQ and media centre. Most of all, it will offer fans a full programme of entertainment on the Main Stage in the centre of the Service Park at Isola Bianca. Not just adrenaline on the stages, but also shows and activities designed for the public at the core of the event.

SHUTTLE BUS TO THE SERVICE PARK
To ensure convenient access for spectators and visitors, a free shuttle bus system will be in place between the “Olbia Arena” car park in Via Libia and Molo 1 bis – Isola Bianca. Operating in both directions, the service will be available on all key event days. “Olbia Arena” is the recommended parking area for those visiting the city and will also serve the Cabu Abbas Shakedown.

MAIN STAGE: SHOWS, MUSIC AND INTERNATIONAL GUESTS
he Rally Italia Sardegna 2025 event programme will bring four days of entertainment to the Main Stage at Olbia’s Isola Bianca, featuring a packed schedule of activities for fans, enthusiasts, and visitors.

The programme kicks off on Thursday, 5 June with the official opening. From 16:30 to 18:00, the FIA WRC Media Pen for P1 and P2 drivers will take place on the Main Stage, giving media the opportunity to speak with top drivers. From 18:15 to 19:00, the stage will host the first DJ Set by Francesco Cadente of RDS – Radio Dimensione Suono. Meanwhile, at 18:30, an exclusive meet and greet with the drivers will be held inside the Conference Room at Casa ACI-Sardegna. At 18:40, Sparco and M-Sport will be handing out gadgets at their respective stands. The evening continues with the WRC drivers autograph session at 19:20 on the Main Stage, leading into the highlight of the day: the official presentation ceremony of the rally from 20:00 to 21:30, hosted by Federica Pellegrini and featuring all the registered crews. The day will close with a second DJ Set by Francesco Cadente starting at 21:30.

On Friday, 6 June, the day begins at 09:00 in the Conference Room with a road safety education session for primary school students from Olbia. At 11:00, the focus shifts to a talk on “Drugs and Youth”, featuring the Chief of Police of Sassari, Filiberto Mastrapasqua, Sassari Highway Patrol Commander Antonio Pignataro, a representative from the Italian Prime Minister’s Office, and psychiatrist Gianfranca Nieddu from ASL 1 Sassari. In the afternoon, at 17:00, the 2024 Sardinian Champions Award Ceremony will be held in the Conference Room of Casa ACI-Sardegna. From 18:15 to 19:00, the Main Stage will host another DJ Set by Rino De Niro and Claudio Guerrini, once again with RDS. In the evening, at 21:30, the spotlight turns to the Fan Zone with Meet the Crews, followed by the headline concert by The Kolors from 22:00 to 23:00 on the Main Stage. The night will close with a final DJ Set by De Niro and Guerrini – a full evening of music and energy.

On Saturday, 7 June, activities resume at 11:00 with a public session on the Energy Community held in the Conference Room. The entertainment continues at 18:00 with another DJ Set by Rino De Niro and Claudio Guerrini, before a new Meet the Crews session in the Fan Zone at 20:15, leading into the final DJ Set from 21:30 to 22:15.

Finally, on Sunday, 8 June, the rally comes to a close with the WRC Podium Ceremony, Prize Giving, and FIA Post-Rally Press Conference taking place from 16:00 to 18:00 on the Main Stage.

The original docu-series by ACI Sport takes fans deep into the behind-the-scenes action of Rally Italia Sardegna 2025, round six of the FIA World Rally Championship, organised by the Automobile Club d’Italia with the support of the Region of Sardinia.

The sixth round of the FIA World Rally Championship will take place June 5th-8th in Sardinia, based in Olbia, on a renewed route featuring several new elements and the return of historic stages.

Olbia, April 5th 2025 – Entries are now open for Rally Italia Sardegna, the event organised by the Automobile Club d’Italia with the support of the Regione Sardegna. Scheduled for June 5th-8th, the rally will mark the return of the FIA World Rally Championship to the Italian island as the sixth round – and the only Italian stop – of the 2025 season.

The rally route, designed under the guidance of former World Rally Champion Tiziano Siviero, features a renewed and exciting format with 324.64 kilometres of special stages across three legs. A return to an extended layout, designed to challenge crews with a demanding technical and physical contest, set against the unmistakable Sardinian backdrop.

The event gets underway on Thursday June 5th with the Shakedown in Olbia, held on the well-known “Cabu Abbas” stage (2.19 km). Located just minutes from the service park, it offers both an ideal setting for final car adjustments and a fully immersive experience for fans.

Leg 1 on Friday June 6th includes six stages for a total of over 120 competitive kilometres, with double runs through the classics “Arzachena” and “Sa Conchedda”, joined by the all-new “Telti-Calangianus–Berchidda”, highly anticipated by rally followers.

Saturday June 7th continues with a similar stage distance and three repeated tests: “Coiluna–Loelle”, “Lerno–Su Filigosu” and “Tula–Erula”. A trio that captures the essence of Rally Italia Sardegna and is likely to play a decisive role in the classification.

Sunday June 8th hosts the final leg, with 79.18 competitive kilometres and breathtaking scenery. The highlight will be the brand-new Power Stage “Porto San Paolo”, framed by the iconic view of Tavolara island, the postcard image of the 2025 edition. The second run of this stage will serve as the rally-ending Power Stage at 13:15. Also drawing attention is the return, after 12 years, of “San Giacomo–Plebi”, a 25-kilometre challenge that brings a long-format stage back into the final leg – a key addition that may reshuffle the order even on Sunday.
