Thursday, 5 June marks the start of the sixth round of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship, returning to the Sardinian dirt roads for the 22nd time. Four world champions at the start, 68 competitors, 16 special stages and a grand finale off the coast of Tavolara Island.

Olbia, 4 June 2025 – Just a few hours to go before the 2025 Rally Italia Sardegna.  The event, organised by the Automobile Club d'Italia in partnership with the Region of Sardinia, is set to bring the excitement of the FIA World Rally Championship back to the spectacular gravel roads of the Island of the Four Moors, which will stage intense challenges over the next four days.  68 crews representing 29 different countries, 16 special stages and over 320 timed kilometres.

The programme promises to be very exciting, featuring new stages combined with  classic and old favourites, and will be enriched by a series of events centred in Olbia,  with a range of activities for everyone to enjoy: enthusiasts, curious onlookers, fans and visitors alike.

The engines will start tomorrow, Thursday 5 June, at 1 p.m., with the shakedown on the spectacular Cabu Abbas stage, a stone's throw from the centre of Olbia. Tomorrow evening from 7:20 p.m., there will be an autograph session with the main protagonists on the central stage at the service park at Isola Bianca, where, from 8:00 p.m., the official presentation ceremony will take place with all the crews and the star of the event, Federica Pellegrini. The evening will continue from 10:00 p.m. with a DJ set by Francesco Cadente from RDS Radio Dimensione Suono.

Friday 6 June will see The first stage. There will be six special stages, three of which will be repeated twice. The day will start with “Arzachena”, a very fast special stage that has been the protagonist of the final stage in the past. This will be followed by the new “Telti - Calangianus - Berchidda”, a fascinating and technical stage specially designed for this edition and, for this reason, difficult to interpret. The third stage will be “Sa Conchedda”, a special stage that will also include the famous Alà dei Sardi Arena, designed specially for the spectators that with  27.95 kilometres, will be the longest of the race.

In the afternoon, at 5 p.m., the 2024 Sardinian champions will be awarded in the Conference Room of Casa ACI-Sardegna in the service park, while from 6.15 p.m. on the main stage there will  be a DJ Set with Rino de Niro and Claudio Guerrini and then, from 9.30 p.m., a meet the crew event with the main protagonists of  the day.  At 10 p.m., the long-awaited free concert by The Kolors, , and  RDS DJ set will have Olbia dancing all night long.

Saturday 7 June, will have a very similar format to Friday's, but with three special stages that are a big part of   Rally Italia Sardegna. “Coiluna-Loelle” will open with its popular final stretch at the Loelle Arena, the fast pass through the cork forest and the tight hairpin at Nuraghe Loelle. This will be followed by “Lerno-Su Filigosu”, which will include the famous Micky's Jump, right at the start of the special stage. The day will end with “Tula-Erula”  which this year will  include a completely new section after the famous Sa Mela hairpin bend.

At the service park, from 6 p.m., The party will continue at tservice park from 6 p.m with DJ Set by RDS Radio Dimensione Suono,  until  8.15 p.m.  immediatefy after  Meet the Crew and interviews with the drivers, then more music from 9:30 pm.

Sunday is the last day with two very different special stages. 'San Giacomo-Plebi' that is back after many years of absence , with its ups and downs and spectacular downhill. The final stage will be the new Power Stage  “Porto San Paolo”, a stage designed just for the 2025 Rally Italia Sardegna, with the scenic and spectacular Tavolara Island as a backdrop for the last part. The final podium will once again be on the Main Stage of the service park, from 4 p.m.

Many side activities are planned, with a focus on environmental sustainability. The most important initiative is scheduled for Friday 6th at 4 p.m., when new trees will be planted along a section of the Olbia cycle path. This event, organised in collaboration with FORESTAS, the Provincial Industrial Consortium of North-East Sardinia - Gallura (CIPNES) and the Automobile Club Sassari, represents a practical step for the local area and a strong message of environmental commitment linked to the world rally. This ongoing commitment has already earned the event three stars in the FIA Environmental Programme for several editions.

To ensure the best possible access for spectators, visitors and enthusiasts, a free shuttle bus service has also been set up to connect the Via Libia car park (‘Olbia Arena’) with Molo 1 bis - Isola Bianca, in both directions, for the duration of the main events: Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
