In the sixth round of the season scheduled in Olbia from 5 to 8 June, all the big names of the World
Rally Championship will be present.

Olbia, 13th of May 2025 – A total of 68 crews have entered the 22 nd edition of Rally Italia Sardegna, the
sixth round of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship scheduled from 5 to 8 June, also valid for
WRC2 and WRC3. This 22 nd edition of Rally Italia Sardegna, an event organised by Automobile
Club d'Italia with the support of the Region of Sardinia, will, as usual, see a significant number of
crews entered, in line with practically all the other competitions held so far this season, which is a
very important sign confirming the results achieved over the years. This 2025 edition will be
characterized by a classic and compact format, a race format appreciated many times in the past
by drivers, consisting of three days, divided into 16 special stages for a total of 320.24 timed km
with a service park hosted in Olbia at Isola Bianca.

A total of 29 different nationalities will be represented in the race (Italy, Finland, Belgium, Sweden,
Ireland, Estonia, Japan, Great Britain, France, Spain, Luxembourg, Greece, Latvia, Bulgaria,
Kyrgyzstan, Paraguay, Poland, Bolivia, Argentina, Peru, Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil, Austria, Qatar, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia and Mexico). This is an important number for the event, which expresses its international character, confirming that the World Rally Championship is an important round that promotes Sardinia, spreading its image all over the world. The most significant representation will be the Italian one, with no less than 17 crews (6 of which Sardinians) at the start, followed by 8 French, 6 Finns, 3 Spaniards, with all the others to follow.

THE PROTAGONISTS
There are no less than four world champions entered in this 22 nd edition of the rally, namely
Sébastien Ogier, Kalle Rovanpera, Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak, an overall record for the event.
Along with them will be all the other main drivers participating in the 2025 World Championship.
There will be a total of 12 Rally 1 cars present, which will be entrusted to the five official Toyota
drivers (Evans, Rovanpera, Ogier, Katsuta and Pajari), the three Hyundai drivers (Neuville, Tänak
and Fourmaux) and the four Ford MSport drivers (Munster, McErlean, Serderidis and Sesks). In
WRC2 there are a total of 34 entrants, including the presence of Yohan Rossel and his brother Léo
in a Citroen C3 Rally 2, and then those of the re-entering Pierre Louis Loubet (Ford Fiesta Rally 2),
Kajetan Kajetanowicz in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally 2, as well as ACI Team Italia drivers Roberto
Daprà and Giovanni Trentin. Also competing were the Spaniards Diego Ruiloba (Citroen C3),
Alejandro Cachòn and Jan Solans (Toyota Yaris Rally 2), and then Emil Lindholm in a Skoda Fabia
RS Rally 2, Fabio Schwarz (Toyota) and Martin Prokop (Skoda), in his 20 th participation at the
Sardinian event. In WRC2 there will also be Rachele Somaschini (Citroen), Giuseppe Dettori
(Skoda) and Francesco Tali (Ford Fiesta), while Oliver Solberg (Toyota) and Nikolay Gryazin
(Skoda) are entered in the race but not in the championship. Seven drivers are entered in WRC 3,
with Italian Matteo Fontana (Ford Fiesta Rally 3) as favourite. Finally, the presence for the 22 nd
consecutive year of Francesco Marrone (Skoda Fabia Evo), the only driver to have participated in
all editions of the race, and the debut in the world championship at only 18 years of old of ACI
Team Italia driver Valentino Ledda in a Peugeot 208 Rally 4. 

THE RACE
The 2025 edition of Rally Italia Sardegna, the sixth round of the World Rally Championship, is
scheduled from 5 to 8 June with the event’s base in Olbia. The rally consists of three days and
include a total of 16 special stages for a total of 320.24 timed kilometres.
